I believe the most important thing in life is to never stop evolving. Never stop. It’s not a race, it’s your own journey to discover. Enjoy it and make something of it.
Background
I have always gravitated toward creativity. As a kid I loved math, but gravitated more toward my creative electives like art and choir. I get that from my father - he was a wise man and a great artist.
For the last 10 years I’ve been a photographer, and I feel blessed to have a career where I love what I do and have been able to create a schedule that works for my lifestyle. What started as a hobby in 2012 turned into a decision to further my photography education. In 2015 I started second shooting weddings and graduated with a BFA in Digital Photography from The Illinois Institute of Art - Schaumburg in 2017. Since then I have done all kinds of photography work (get specific).
As I enter a new decade of my life that is my 30’s, I’ve felt a great shift happening in my life. I’ve started to reflect extensively on where I’ve been and, more importantly, where I want to be in the future. I took a step back from considering all the things I should do and ways I should be and started to ask myself who I really was beneath the blanket of societal expectations and what I actually wanted to receive from life as well as to give back to it.
And as I reflected on all the experiences that shaped me, one idea continued to scream at me - travel. I want to see every part of the world there is to see. I want to meet people of different cultures and share various experiences with the world.
